Singapore's ONE Pass, explained in plain terms
The ONE Pass took effect on 1 January 2023 as a new top tier above Singapore's Employment Pass, aimed at people MOM considers among the best in their field: senior executives, top professionals, academics and researchers, and distinguished names in arts, culture, and sport. Where an Employment Pass is sponsored by a specific employer and generally reviewed against that job, the ONE Pass belongs to the individual. It does not require a company to sponsor the application, and it is not cancelled if you leave a job.
Who it is for
Senior executives and business leaders already earning at the top of the market, whether in Singapore or overseas; Professionals with a firm offer to take up a well paid role at an established Singapore company, who want to apply before their contract even starts; Existing Employment Pass or other work pass holders in Singapore whose salary has grown to the ONE Pass threshold; Founders who want a pass that lets them run their own company without a separate employer sponsoring their residency; Academics, researchers, athletes, and artists with a strong track record who may not meet the salary threshold but have recognised achievements in their field.
How eMigr8 helps
eMigr8 provides coaching and guidance to help you understand the ONE Pass and work out which track fits your situation. We do not give legal advice or immigration consultation. Salary thresholds, fees, and processing details are set by MOM and can change, so always confirm your specific position with MOM or a qualified immigration professional before you rely on anything here.
